KEEPING THE MEMORY OF IRENE
The Irene Gyulnazarian Educational Fund for Armenia (IGEFA), started as a living memorial to Irene Gyulnazarian and has gone a long way during the six years of its existence. Time passes, life runs with ever faster pace, but the spirit of Irene lives not only in our memories, but also in the deeds of the organization that carries her name.
OUR EFFORTS:In 2004-10 IGEFA has raised funds to support current programs in Armenia:
MENTAL HEALTH PROJECT - Stress Center and Yerevan State University Psychology Center (equipment, furniture, library)
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS - 28 psychology students/YSU
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING - workshops and seminars by visiting professors - AUA, CRRC, YSU
ART PROJECT:
Gyumri Children's Art School - furniture, equipment, art supplies;
Armenian Writers' Union - Young Writer's Awards
